Woodland Football Club is founded by Ross Harris in Shawnee, KS. The club initially competes in the Select League with a small but dedicated squad of players.

The Rise of the Champions
Woodland would go on to win their first season, and the inagural season of the Select League. Earning them a birth to the U.S. Open Cup.

Woodland, preparing for the World Cup, bolstered their infrastructure, and began laying the foundations for self-sustainability. Youth camps, youth academy, and growing a fan base. Woodland slipped to 2nd in the league, and were runner-up in the Kansas State Cup. They hosted a US Open Cup match, falling narrowly to Open Cup Qualifiers BOHFS St. Louis. Woodland was focused on preparing for the next journey in the Select League, but an opportunity came calling...

The Midwest Premier League wanted to make their mark in Kansas City, and they wanted Woodland FC to be the first team in Kansas to become part of the MWPL. Woodland became the first team in Kansas in the league, and have grown the club exponentially since. They are a staple of the Mill Valley community, and have grown their presence throughout the city far and wide. Woodland has become a name with gravitas in the world of soccer in KC, and they are hungry to reclaim their crown.
